Serve at Hope City Church

At Hope, our mission statement empowers us to serve each other and to go on and serve the world as we develop in discipleship. Serving implies an authentic willingness to offer help — not for personal gain, recognition, or status, but to serve because help is needed and to glorify God in the process.

Hope City Church consists of 20+ vibrant ministries and a few community initiatives intentionally focused on developing the lives of those we serve while making a radical impact. And we’re looking for you to join us in serving here at Hope!

Ways to Volunteer

If you are a member of Hope City Church and interested in serving and engaging with our volunteer opportunities, please reach out to a 1st Touch Ambassador in person or by e-mail at [email protected] and they will connect you to Volunteer Development through our Journey into Hope process.

If you are not a member of Hope City Church, but actively looking to give back to our community through our local church, please email Volunteer Development at [email protected]. A member of the team will promptly get back to you!

Community Initiatives
East Brooklyn Congregations (EBC):

We are partnered with EBC, a nonprofit organization that focuses on empowering the East Brooklyn community we serve through establishing affordable housing and senior housing, fighting for equity and just social policies.

Harvest Fest:

Our annual Harvest Fest, open to the entire community, is geared towards family engagement and safety during Halloween through carnival-themed games, food and prizes. We’re always looking for volunteers to join our core planning team, “day of” operations crew, game monitoring team, hospitality team and more.

Hope Empowerment & Development Zone, Inc. (HEADZ):

We are partnered with HEADZ, a non-profit organization centered on serving as a catalyst for under-served families and individuals. Through HEADZ, our partnered initiatives include Hope Market and Youth of Dynamic Character (YODC) Summer Program. HEADZ is always looking for volunteers to join our Hope Market or YODC teams.

Hope in the Park:

Our yearly Hope in the Park & Back to School Jam initiative moves us beyond the four walls of our two locations and into our community park for outside service and backpack giveaway. We’re always looking for volunteers to join our volunteer core team, operations and “day of” crew, backpack giveaway team and more.

Hope Market, every 4th Sunday, provides access to free fresh produce in food desert areas. Our goal is to fight against the damage of over-processed foods, meal gaps and preventable illness.
